June and September are the summer months and are considered the best time to visit Bhrigu Lake Trek. It is best to go during the time of July to September so that you can witness the beautiful wildflowers and green meadows everywhere. 

What are the Various Options to Reach Base Camp

The base camp is situated at Manali. And besides, Manali is easily accessible via: 

  • Airways: Fly to the Kullu Airport and then from there drive to the beautiful state of Manali. You can also choose to fly to Delhi or Chandigarh and can also take a car to Manali. 

  • Roadways: Take a vehicle or cab from Delhi or Chandigarh to reach Manali. 

  • Railways: Take a train to Chandigarh and then take a cab or bus ride to Manali.

Things to Carry 

  • Backpack (Min 55 Ltrs with rain cover): A good quality and affordable backpack which is lightweight with a comfortable fit and straps are very essential for you to pick so that won’t give pain to your shoulder. 

  • Trekking Shoes: A good quality trekking shoe that is very comfortable to wear, won't be slippery and gives good grip, and most importantly provides ankle support.  

  • 3 Quick Dry Tees: Is it important to carry Quick Dry Tees? Yes! All beginners and well-trained trekkers need to keep at least 3 pairs of quick dry t-shirts or tops so that you can wash them on the go and in between stops for your hygiene. 

  • 2 Track Pants: Carry at least 2 good pairs of sweatpants that are made of polyester that will let your skin breathe. 

  • At Least 3 Pair of Soft Cotton Socks and At Least 1 Pair of Woollen Socks: Cotton and woolen socks are comfortable things that will help you to move around here and there and are very lightweight which is why you can always count on a good pair of cotton and woolen socks while trekking.  

  • Thich Jacket: At least 1 very thick layer jacket that you can put on over all the other additional layers of your other clothes to avoid getting cold which is why you need to carry them. 

  • 1 Pair of Thermal: It is a very necessary item that you must carry when going on a high-altitude trek. Thermal is a kind of garment that helps you to keep the body warm in very cold regions.

  • Gloves: To have proper body heat in your hands and also to provide better grip while trekking poles, Woollen gloves are a must to keep.

  • Lip Balm: Due to the harsh and extremely cold winds, your lips can get dry in no time. So it's very important to keep them moisturized every other second.

  • Water Bottle 1 Lt.: Hydrating your body constantly is a must that we all do and it is extremely important when it comes to trekking to heights. 

  • Trekking Pole: To save a lot of energy and provide good grip and stability and help to maintain proper balance the Trekking pole helps you in more than one way. 

  • Camera: It depends on your budget and choice. Capture all the memories of all sweet moments from your trek and make sure to carry them back home.
